Author Portraits - The classics that help you live
Comune di Misano Adriatico
How can we understand the present without knowing the great thoughts of the past?
The Ritratti d'Autore - I classici che aiutano a vivere (Author's Portraits - The classics that help us live) review returns to Misano Adriatico at the Cinema Teatro Astra.
Three evening events starting at 9 p.m. dedicated to texts and figures that continue to speak to our time, offering tools for reflection and civil and cultural awareness.
FRIDAY 10 APRIL
Opening the festival will be philosopher Adriana Cavarero with the reading "For whom do the Sirens sing? Modern portraits of an ancient myth".
A fascinating journey that re-reads the myth of the Sirens in a contemporary key, restoring voice and freedom to female figures imprisoned for too long in stereotyped interpretations.
FRIDAY 17 APRIL
The protagonist of the second meeting will be Massimo Cacciari with "Van Gogh. Per un autoritratto."
A dialogue between philosophy and art to explore, through images and words, the expressive power and creative restlessness of Vincent Van Gogh.
FRIDAY 24 APRIL
The review closes with Piergiorgio Odifreddi, who will pay tribute to Albert Einstein, symbol of free thought and the ability of science to change the world.
Free admission subject to availability.
